Of Mice and Men

Steinbeck's novella Of Mice and Men got its title from the term used by Robert Burns in his famous poem 'The Mouse' where the plans of mice and men 'gang aft a-gley'.

Meaning they often go awry and don't work out. And that's how this year is looking. There were supposed to be a load of creative writing courses for the spring and summer but Covid 19 has put a stop to all that.

Festivals cancelled, pubs, cafes and restaurants shut - it's going to be an odd year.

Keep writing. Plenty to reflect on.
