Walk and Write

Stimulate your ideas with a guided walk in the English Lake District.

Where?
This will be a two hour walk with frequent stops, starting at Stickle Ghyll car park, Great Langdale, LA22 9JU.

When?
23rd March, 10.30am-12.30.

What?
In this workshop, we’ll walk, listen and look to inspire your writing in the lovely atmosphere of the Langdale valley.

No previous writing experience is needed and all writing levels are welcome. This will involve hill walking, so wear decent walking shoes, bring a waterproof and wrap up warm. We will not go very high but will have to spent lots of time outside. Be aware that there may rain, strong winds or snow which adds to the atmosphere!

The session is run by a writer and Mountain Leader so you will never be in any danger. Just come and give it a go and enjoy this amazing setting with friendly people. Please bring pens or pencils and a notebook or paper. We can supply a waterproof notepad for £3.

Who?
Ian Chapman of Lakeland Writers will lead the workshop.

How Much?
£30 per person. Drinks and lunch are not provided. Please bring water and/or a flask with a hot drink. There are excellent pubs nearby serving food.
