It's the dark nights, a serious time to write.
With that in mind, I've cracked on with the rewrite of the dreaded third book in the Northumbrian Western trilogy, Blasphemous Isle.
It was supposed to be finished in 2018 but that didn't happen, and anyway it was a made-up deadline, since I have't even sorted out a (proper*) publisher.
Now the third draft is underway, helped by dark nights and rainy days with little else to do. The closure of the local Costa was a blow, seeing as I used to sit in there for hours typing away, nursing a single cup of black Americano, can't see why they closed it.... Anyway, the redraft is underway, with a target date of May 2019.
After that, the whole trilogy is going to be revisited, read through, tidied and sent off to a (proper*) publisher. Earlier drafts are on Amazon, but they were the Mark Is and now it's time for the Mark IIIs.
Rather like the final Ford Capri, they will hopefully be classics.
