Reflections in the Lakes

This is a good time to start (or pick up old) writing projects.

Late winter, almost spring, is an odd time of year. The evenings are becoming lighter but not enough for evening walks. It's cold but not snowy and frosty. There are no big events on the horizon. No Christmas or Easter (for some time); no summer holidays or festivals. Okay, the kids have half-term soon but for the rest of us, it's business as usual.

That makes it a great time to knuckle down and stick words on the (virtual) page.

A bonus is that the Lake District is quiet in February: no snow to attract winter mountaineers and sufficient rain and mist to put off the day trippers. Perfect to get out and find some inspiration and reflect on writing projects.
