We've just got back from the Canary Islands.
It's not great for the biosphere to travel so far by plane but we needed to get away. Winter had taken its toll on our energy and we needed some sun.
When we left the UK it was cold and damp. Typical for the start of the Easter holidays in Northern England.
But by the time we got back, after a lovely week on the beautiful beaches of Tenerife, it was warm and sunny. We couldn't believe it - more than twenty degrees even in the Lake District.
So we've spent most of Easter Sunday in out back garden, messing around with a paddling pool and relaxing in the sunshine. With such wonderful weather, we all feel fully recharged. Ready for the real summer to start.
