Into Autumn

Although it's only September and (technically) still summer for another week and a bit, it feels like autumn now.

There are already signs that the trees and getting ready to shed their leaves and the evenings are much darker than they seemed only a few days ago. Maybe that's just a trick of the low cloud and drizzle that has drifted across Cumbria, but the temperature has dropped and soon we'll be hitting the autumnal equinox - generally around 21st September.

Some people love autumn, others hate it. Whatever your view, it is a good time to do some writing and maybe come along to some of our courses - we've got Be a Writer on 19th October and Positive Writing on 9th November.

Also, if the weather settles down as we head into October, it is a great time to get out onto the Lake District fells. And there's nothing better than a decent walk on one of the Lakeland hills to get the ideas flowing, so roll on autumn. Let's hope it's a nice one.
